Sarms and Testosterone

Z-Force

Testosterone is primary male sex hormone and is responsible for various functions throughout the body. It is involved in sperm production, impacts muscle and bone mass, affects how fat is stored in the body, the production of red blood cells and also is a determinant of a person’s mood. Performance enhancers such as anabolic steroids are well known for the negative impact they can have on testosterone production. An alternative product which is steadily gaining popularity within the wider fitness community are sarms and part of the reason is the minimal side effects they generate in relation to your testosterone levels.

Sarms are the acronym for selective androgen receptor modulators. They are similar in nature to anabolic steroids but tend to have significantly less negative side effects due to the way they function. Whereas steroids target all androgen receptors in the body, including those in the sex hormones, sarms are far more selective, focussing primarily on the bones and the muscles. They also will not aromatise into estrogen and nor do they impact the prostate, further setting them apart from steroids.

The body is very receptive to the use of sarms, even at very low dosages. They promote benefits to the body such as an increase to muscle mass, a prevention to muscle wasting, an increase to bone density and minerals, an increase to strength, a way to lose fat, an increase to strength and a boost to endurance levels. They do have side effects as well but due to the small recommended dosages, as long asthey are adhered to, they tend to be minimal in impact.

Different sarms’ side effects are known to include a negative impact on the liver. Liver inflammation is likely to be the most severe side effect that you might experience. Two enzymes produced in the liver, Aspartate Aminotransferase and Alanine Aminotransferase, are indicators of liver disease with increased levels being abnormal and a sign of the illness. Other side effects include hair loss and acne, although these tend to be more prevalent in people that are already mildly experiencing these conditions. Painful muscle pumps are another side effect that some users’ can relate to as well impacts to vision such as a slight yellow tinge or blurriness. The most common side effect however is likely to be a suppression of testosterone.

Testosterone suppression is a common theme to sarms use. The positive side of this coin is that whilst testosterone levels are reduced, the building blocks to testosterone production remain unaffected. Luteinizing hormoneand follicle stimulating hormone synthesise together in the reproductive system to regulate the production of testosterone. Sarms selectively avoid impacting these hormones so that once a cycle of sarms is completed, they can work together to return testosterone levels to normal.

If there is any concern regarding lasting testosterone suppression there are products known as PCTs (Post Cycle Therapy) that can hasten the body’s production. These typically work to lower estrogen levels which augments the function of luteinizing hormone, encouraging testosterone production. If you’re seeking clarity regarding the necessity of a PCT, the best way to determine it is to have a blood test taken to check your testosterone levels.

Sarms are an excellent way to achieve greater results in your workouts, increase your strength and help you to lose fat. They will impact your testosterone however will not be as detrimental to your body as other performance enhancers such as anabolic steroids. Your levels should refer to normal at the conclusion of a cycle however PCTs are an option if you need help with testosterone recovery.…

T Bomb II

T Bomb II will help to promote maximum strength. The manufacturer claims that this product will optimize “testosterone production, utilization and lowers estrogen”.

The primary goal of this product is to promote health and wellness, and the main ingredient is Tribulus.

T Bomb II has been developed by the health supplements manufacturer known as MHP.

Serving Information

Each serving size is the equivalent to 3 tablets, and there are 168 tablets in every container of T Bomb II.

Relevant Ingredients

The first ingredient on the list is Tribulus terrestris. To cut it short, Tribulus does not enhance testosterone contrary to what you may have heard in the past. Study after study has failed to identify any improvements in testosterone levels after the administering of Tribulus in healthy and not so healthy men.

Next on the list is fenugreek. Fenugreek has long been used as a pro fertility, pro vitality, and an aphrodisiac agent in parts of India. Only recently has it been discovered that it may be a potent a testosterone enhancer. More studies than not have backed this narrative. Despite the findings, the subject of fenugreek and its effects on testosterone is a focus of a number of debates. In our opinion, there is no doubt that fenugreek is one of the best testosterone enhancing ingredients.

Tongkat ali, or better known as Longjack is a pro fertility agent, as well as an aphrodisiac and there have been suggestions that it may be an anti-estrogen, and a pro-erectile agent. As of yet, there is no evidence to suggest that it supports testosterone in anyway.

Red clover extract is a plant that is sometimes used to make medicine. It is suggested that it may be effective in lowering cholesterol and controlling hot flushes, particularly in women. Currently, red clover is useful cancer prevention, indigestion, and high cholesterol, whooping cough’s, asthma, sexually transmitted diseases, and bronchitis. Despite all these benefits, there is no evidence to suggest that it has any interaction with the hormones, especially testosterone.

Chrysine belongs to a class of chemicals known as flavonoids. These are naturally occurring implants such as silver linden, and passionflower. Quite often this ingredient is useful bodybuilding, and treating anxiety, inflammation, erectile dysfunction and baldness. Preliminary animal testing on rats seems to suggest that this ingredient may be able to increase testosterone. However, at present, there is no human evidence to back these claims.

Kudzuroot is a type of vine that can be found in North America and parts of China. Its root and flower, as well as leaf are used to make medicine. The Chinese have been using this ingredient since at least 200 BC to help treat alcoholism. In more recent days, people you this ingredient for a number of things such as menopausal symptoms, muscular pains, measles, stomach pains, diarrhea, and neck stiffness. Unfortunately, there is absolutely nothing to suggest that it has any interaction with hormones.

T Bomb II

Diindolymethane is formed in the body after the consumption of cruciferous vegetables such as brussel sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, and broccoli. This ingredient is used to prevent breast, uterine, and colorectal cancer. It is also used to help prevent an enlarged prostate. Preliminary studies seem to suggest that it may be responsible for suppressing estrogen. However, the results are preliminary, and further study is needed in this regard.

Avena Sativa or better known as oats is often used to make medicine to help slow down bleeding. It is often applied topically onto the skin to stop the flow of blood. We were unable to find any studies that may suggest that it has any interaction with testosterone.

Zinc is probably but one of the best testosterone enhancing ingredients out there. Study after study has confirmed that men with healthy zinc intakes nearly always enjoyed optimum testosterone levels. On the other hand, men with a zinc-poor diet usually displayed signs of low testosterone.

Pygeum Africanum Extract is derived from the Pygeum tree. It is often used to treat symptoms of enlarged prostate, prostate cancer, inflammation, kidney diseases, urinary problems, stomach aches, fevers, and malaria. Once again, there is no evidence to suggest that it has any bearing on testosterone levels.

Stinging nettle is a type of plant and its root has been used as a medicine in certain parts of the world to serve different purposes. Currently there is not enough scientific evidence to determine exactly how effective it is. At present, it is used to treat urinary problems, enlarged prostate and irritable bladders. It has also been suggested that stinging nettle may be effective in decreasing inflammation, as well as increasing urinary output. Unfortunately, there is nothing to suggest that it has any interaction with hormones.

Sitosterol is a substance often found in plants. It is also commonly found in fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds, and …

The Positives and the Negatives

Testosterone boosters pros and cons

Testosterone is the primary male hormone that is produced inside the body and has a direct impact on the male sexual characteristics, such as the development of the sexual organs, the promotion of sexual desire, a deeper voice, bigger muscle mass and body hair. With age, a man’s body begins to reduce the amount of testosterone that it produces, which leads to a number of problems such as low libido, erectile dysfunction, low energy levels, as well as finding it difficult to build new muscle mass. In some cases, loss of muscle occurs.

Testosterone boosters pros and cons

Typically, testosterone levels begin to reduce by the time you reach the age of about 20.  But the real drop takes place in your mid-20s. Testosterone booster pros than cons are something to consider because it is very important to identify any potential effects (good and bad) that your body is likely to experience, once you begin using your testosterone booster.

The Positives…

Testosterone boosters pros

Many testosterone boosters are made from natural ingredients, unlike anabolic steroids. Typical ingredients include zinc, magnesium, and vitamin B amongst others. As the ingredients are mainly natural, means that testosterone boosters will be relatively safe for frequent consumption. The positive effects that testosterone boosters will provide include increasing your energy levels as well as your libido.

Testosterone boosters pros and cons

Older males, who may find it difficult to maintain motivation, or simply to get up and exercise, will find that a natural testosterone booster will promote increased energy and a better overall mood. As the name suggests, a testosterone booster will increase your body’s free testosterone levels which will mean that you will be able to ‘pack’ more muscle when you exercise.  This in turn, will lead to more self-esteem and energy.

The Negatives…

Testosterone boosters cons

It is important to remember that there are also a number of negative aspects that need to be taken into account, when considering using a testosterone booster. By its very nature, the male body is only capable of producing a “certain amount” of testosterone. An excess in testosterone production can have a number of unwarranted side-effects such as breakouts of acne, excessive hair loss, and a short temper.

An overproduction of testosterone has in the past been linked to increased outbursts of anger and rage. Although some people may suggest that by eating the right foods, and partaking in more physical exercise, as well as having more sex will naturally encourage the production of more testosterone.

But sometimes, this may not be enough and it is important to understand that testosterone boosters have an impressive track record for achieving this goal in a safe and natural manner.

Foods Ideal for Enhancing Testosterone

Enhancing Testosterone

Testosterone is a key male hormone that is essential for maintaining male virility and vitality. And it’s no thanks to nature, testosterone levels begin to diminish from the age of around 30 years. This means, the individual concerned will begin to experience a low libido, suffer from mental fog, and experience much fewer “morning glories”.

Testosterone is produced inside the testicles. By regularly exercising, and taking in enough rest, you will only be helping the situation. The foods you consume are also vital in determining the levels of your testosterone. I have put together a shortlist of the main testosterone enhancing foods that you should seriously look into.

Start with Cabbage

Cabbage is a great source of indole-3-carbinol. This nutrient is extremely effective in flushing out any female hormones that may be present in the body. In a recent study carried out by a leading university in the United States, 500 mg of indole-3-carbinol was administered to a group of 20 men on a daily basis.

The results even surprised the researchers. All 20 men managed to reduce their estrogen levels by no less than half.

Eggs Are Great for The Hormones

Did you know the cholesterol inside the egg yolk is a forerunner to testosterone?

A study carried out by the University of Connecticut found that by simply eating three eggs a day will not skyrocket your cholesterol levels, as previously thought.

Enhancing Testosterone

Milk: A Great Way of Getting Lean

A study carried out by the University of Pittsburg confirmed that obese and even mildly overweight men had more estrogen in their bodies, than their thinner counterparts. Contrary to the commonly held belief, drinking plenty of milk can trigger a factor reduction. This is made possible by the testosterone enhancement milk provides.

Milk is an excellent source of amino acids that are vital in helping to trigger the production of anabolic hormones. As you may well know, this will notably lead to less body fat, and more lean muscle. Nutritionists recommend that you drink 200 ml of milk, three times a day.

Honey: Excellent for Blood Flow

Honey is packed with boron, which has a strong long link to testosterone according to scientists. Honey is also rich in nitric oxide which is great for opening up the blood vessels, and allowing more frequent, and firmer erections.

All you need is as little as 4 spoons of honey a day, and you’ll be well on your way in enhancing your nitric oxide levels.

Garlic: The Muscle Fuel

Garlic contains allicin, which is an important compound that helps to lower cortisol, leading to a reduction of stress levels. Cortisol works to compete with testosterone, racing againts this hormone to get into the muscle cells. The moment cortisol levels drop, testosterone is able to work effectively.

Nutritionists recommend that garlic should be eaten uncooked.

Increase Your Venison Intake

This does not apply to vegetarians, because a vegetarian diet is likely to reduce testosterone levels by up to 14%, due to a lack of protein that is required for triggering testosterone production. On the other hand, a recent study carried out by the University of Utah, researchers discovered that a saturated-fats-rich diet, consisting of beef and lamb also harmed testosterone levels.

It is recommended that you tread the “middle ground” and opt to eat venison instead.

Pomegranate: Great to Get Your Juices Going

According to the International Journal of impotence, one glass of pomegranate juice a day was capable of improving symptoms of impotence by up to 47%.

Avocados: Excellent for Cleansing the Body

Cholesterol comes in many forms, and it’s the LDL-cholesterol that we’re interested in the segment. LDL-cholesterol is very bad for you because it essentially closes up the arteries, leading to erectile dysfunction. A study carried out by the Penn State University found that men consuming high levels of monounsaturated fats, nearly always had lower LDL cholesterol levels and more testosterone, than men who did not have a high intake of these fats.

Foods rich in monounsaturated fats include salmon, nuts, vegetables, and avocados in particular.

Tuna: Great for Fuelling the Libido

There is a lot of vitamin D in tuna fish. This vitamin is essential in bolstering testosterone levels. A recent study by the Graz Medical University in Austria found that vitamin D was capable of enhancing testosterone levels by up to 90%. Vitamin D also works to help reduce libido diminishing chemicals, including the sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG).

One simple can of tuna will contain 100% of exactly what you need on a daily basis.

Grapes: The Sperm Fuel

Did you know that by eating a bunch of red grapes everyday can supercharge your sperm production? Grape-skin is rich in resveratrol, which works to make sperm …

Z-Force

Z-Force

Z-Force is described as a “high anabolic support… With added antioxidants”. The primary goal of this product is to build muscle.

Z-Force has been developed by Dymatize.

Z-Force

Serving Information

Each serving size is the equivalent to 3 capsules, and there are 90 capsules in every container of Z-Force.

Relevant Ingredients

The main ingredients in Z-Force include vitamin C. Vitamin C is probably the safest and most effective nutrients according to experts. Although it may not be the cure for the common cold, it does provide a number of protective benefits against immune system deficiencies, prenatal health problems, cardiovascular disease, wrinkly skin, and eye disease. Unfortunately we have been unable to find any correlation that this vitamin may have with testosterone.

Next up on the list is vitamin E. This vitamin dissolves in fat and can be found in many foods including vegetable oils, meat, cereals, poultry, fruits, vegetables, and wheat germ oil. Vitamin E can also be supplemented.

This vitamin has been used to treat, as well as help to prevent diseases such as the hardening of the arteries and blood vessels, heart attacks, chest pains, leg pains, and high blood pressure. In a nutshell, vitamin E is essential for the proper functioning of many of the organs inside the body. Once again, we were unable to find any correlation to testosterone.

Vitamin B6 helps the body to use and store energy from proteins and carbohydrates that a person may consume in the form of foods. Vitamin B6 is also essential for creating hemoglobin in the blood. Hemoglobin is responsible for transporting oxygen around the body. Preliminary tests have suggested that vitamin B6 may be effective in maintaining existing testosterone levels, and not necessarily increasing them.

Magnesium is a mineral that is responsible for a number of important functions inside the human body. Magnesium helps to convert food into energy, as well as helping to ensure that the parathyroid glands are always in good working order. Just like vitamin B6, magnesium helps to maintain existing testosterone levels, and not necessarily enhance them.

Then we move onto zinc. Zinc is also an essential mineral for overall male health. This ingredient has repeatedly proven itself to positively influence testosterone levels in repeated clinical trials. Studies have noted that men with zinc deficiencies nearly always displayed symptoms of low testosterone. On the other hand, men with healthy zinc intakes usually enjoyed optimal testosterone levels.

Side-Effects

We have been unable to find any notable side-effects that people may have experienced after using Z-Force.

How to Use Z-Force

The manufacturer recommends that you take between one and two capsules on a daily basis, preferably in the morning and the evening, accompanied by meals.

How Much is Z-Force?

$9.97

Z-Force Rating

4/10

Our Take

Z-Force is certainly a below average testosterone supplement. Although it contains good quality ingredient such as vitamins C, vitamin E, both of which are ineffective in influencing testosterone, vitamin B6 and magnesium are known to be reliable testosterone maintainers, as opposed to enhancers. Zinc is the only ingredient in this product capable of elevating testosterone levels. Therefore, if you were to use this product in an attempt to increase your testosterone levels, you should expect marginal gains at the very most, because the zinc is more effective when it is accompanied by either D-aspartic acid or fenugreek.

The lack of testosterone enhancing ingredients in Z-Force is clearly reflected in the very modest price-tag.
