Determining abnormalities in T levels are often sufficiently conducted by tests for your total T. However, some irregularities may still exist despite ‘normal’ levels in which case free testosterone and bioavailable testosterone levels can also be assessed. Total testosterone is essentially comprised of 3 sub types of testosterone:

  3. Albumin bound testosterone. Albumin is also a protein produced in the liver that binds with testosterone. In this form it is not bioavailable, similar to SHBG bound T, however it can become unbound and utilised as free testosterone as the link between albumin and testosterone isn’t strong.

Historically, only the free testosterone was thought to be the biologically active component. It’s now recognised that albumin and testosterone are found to dissociate freely in the capillary bed, thereby making testosterone becoming readily available for tissue uptake. Therefore, all non-SHBG-bound testosterone is considered bioavailable.

The main ingredients in Z-Force include vitamin C. Vitamin C is probably the safest and most effective nutrients according to experts. Although it may not be the cure for the common cold, it does provide a number of protective benefits against immune system deficiencies, prenatal health problems, cardiovascular disease, wrinkly skin, and eye disease. Unfortunately we have been unable to find any correlation that this vitamin may have with testosterone.

Next up on the list is vitamin E. This vitamin dissolves in fat and can be found in many foods including vegetable oils, meat, cereals, poultry, fruits, vegetables, and wheat germ oil. Vitamin E can also be supplemented.

This vitamin has been used to treat, as well as help to prevent diseases such as the hardening of the arteries and blood vessels, heart attacks, chest pains, leg pains, and high blood pressure. In a nutshell, vitamin E is essential for the proper functioning of many of the organs inside the body. Once again, we were unable to find any correlation to testosterone.

Vitamin B6 helps the body to use and store energy from proteins and carbohydrates that a person may consume in the form of foods. Vitamin B6 is also essential for creating hemoglobin in the blood. Hemoglobin is responsible for transporting oxygen around the body. Preliminary tests have suggested that vitamin B6 may be effective in maintaining existing testosterone levels, and not necessarily increasing them.

Magnesium is a mineral that is responsible for a number of important functions inside the human body. Magnesium helps to convert food into energy, as well as helping to ensure that the parathyroid glands are always in good working order. Just like vitamin B6, magnesium helps to maintain existing testosterone levels, and not necessarily enhance them.

Then we move onto zinc. Zinc is also an essential mineral for overall male health. This ingredient has repeatedly proven itself to positively influence testosterone levels in repeated clinical trials. Our Take

Z-Force is certainly a below average testosterone supplement. Although it contains good quality ingredient such as vitamins C, vitamin E, both of which are ineffective in influencing testosterone, vitamin B6 and magnesium are known to be reliable testosterone maintainers, as opposed to enhancers. Zinc is the only ingredient in this product capable of elevating testosterone levels. Therefore, if you were to use this product in an attempt to increase your testosterone levels, you should expect marginal gains at the very most, because the zinc is more effective when it is accompanied by either D-aspartic acid or fenugreek.

The lack of testosterone enhancing ingredients in Z-Force is clearly reflected in the very modest price-tag.
